Friday Facts for November 20, 2020

Dear Chamber Member and Chamber Friends,

Here are your Friday Facts.

A HUGE THANK YOU to all those members who have renewed and those that have joined our Chamber Partners in Action 2021 program. Below are those who have signed up for 2021 – thank you.

PG Chamber radio show: Exclusively for PG Chamber members: NOW BOOKING FOR JANUARY 2021. We are very pleased to announce that our monthly radio show on Seaview 104.9FM will be returning to its usual monthly spot on the Bob Alexander Radio Show on the first Wednesday and Thursday of each month. The process is very simple – no need to visit the studio. Bob will call you, set up a recording time and it’ll be done over the phone and inserted directly into the progaming of this very popular show. You get the option to record two x 2.5 minute slots or else simply record one and have it aired twice during the show. Bob will be able to let you know exactly during which hour it will air. The cost is an incredible $110 (payable to the PG Chamber, not iHeart). To register for the show, simply email John Wright. The rest we’ll take care of for you. Only ten businesses per month, so don’t delay. Offering you a great way to promote your business, advertise an event or simply to show your community support.

Fishermen’s Village

Fishermen’s Village is proud to announce Rebecca Centeno has joined the Fishermen’s Village Management Team as Vice President of PG Hospitality. Rebecca was born into the field of hospitality and has had Punta Gorda as her stomping grounds since the 80’s. She loves Fishermen’s Village and Punta Gorda. Most recently, she was a General Manager overseeing 180 rooms in Charlotte County. Many may remember Rebecca as the little girl from local Punta Gorda restaurant Elena’s working the cash register, putting a smile on customers’ faces. “Loving hospitality is not something that one can learn. It has to “flow through your veins” and you have to want to put a smile on your customer’s faces by working your absolute hardest for every single customer”, says Rebecca. She even encourages her staff to smile when on the phone with guests, because she believes they can hear and see that smile even in a phone call. Having experienced the demands of operating two major franchise hotels in Charlotte County, she was an ideal candidate to be recruited by PG Hospitality to take the helm as Vice President of the company. She has built an amazing team of people who also love hospitality, are eager to show off the beautifully renovated Suites at Fishermen’s Village and grow within our beautiful City of Punta Gorda as PG Hospitality expands its presence in the city. Contact Rebecca Centeno at: 941 621-6046 or email Rebecca.centeno@pg-hospitality.com.

Sincerely,

John Wright, President,
