Yes For Success School Referendum Passes
Charlotte County Public Schools would like to thank the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce for their support and endorsement of the Yes for Success School Referendum. Because of your support, the referendum passed with an overwhelming majority of voters. Your support means teachers and staff will continue to be paid competitively. Students will receive 30 minutes of additional instruction each day, be able to participate in sports, theater, band and chorus, and receive additional academic help. In addition, all adults will have access to high skill, high wage workforce education programs. Thank you for helping us build a strong community through strong schools.
Fresh Jersey Tomatoes 7th Annual Toy Drive, Now-December 9
The Fresh Jersey Tomatoes (FJT’s), a group of women originally from New Jersey who now reside in Charlotte County, are holding their 7th Annual FJT’s Toy Drive for underprivileged children currently receiving services from Charlotte Behavioral Health Care (CBHC). The drive starts today and runs through Dec. 9. Last year we raised approximately 2,000 toys which was 1,000 more than the previous year.
