The process is very simple – no need to visit the studio. Bob will call you, set up a recording time and it’ll be done over the phone and inserted directly into the programming of this very popular show. You get the option to record two x 2.5 minute slots or else simply record one and have it aired twice during the show. Bob will be able to let you know exactly during which hour it will air. The new Flood Insurance Study and Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM) will become effective on Dec. 15, 2022. A new flood zone called the Coastal A Zone (CAZ) will be incorporated into these
new maps .
This year’s Freedom Swim will be begin at 9 am at Live Oak Park. The crossing to Harpoon Harry’s will take 40 minutes to three hours. There will be no trolley service.
This event brings together more than 600 members of our community to acknowledge and celebrate the efforts of public safety personnel in Charlotte County. This year, Public Safety Appreciation Night will be held on Saturday, June 25 at the Charlotte Harbor Event and Conference Center, beginning at 6 pm.

The Charlotte County Human Resources Department in partnership with CareerSource Southwest Florida has scheduled a job fair from 3-7 pm, Monday, April 11 at the Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center, 75 Taylor St. in Punta Gorda. This is a multi-agency event with employers from Charlotte County Public Works, Utilities, Building Construction Services, Recreation and Pools, Information Technology, Public Safety, Fire & EMS as well as the Tax Collector, schools and more. Potential on-site interviews and resume assistance will be available.
